This is a great story about a community looking after it’s own.
Over 20 years ago a charitable trust was established to look after the people of Fairlie and Tekapo. Quietly the trustees worked behind the scenes helping people in their time of need. Today this great work continues with the proud assistance of the Aoraki Foundation. The Mackenzie Charitable Fund exists to help the community when they need it most, and is overseen by many respected leaders in the Mackenzie District.
